Recent Actions

Actions:

• 2022 
  Encouraged member groups to petition the City of Charlottesville to take immediate action on climate change.  As a result, the City scheduled a meeting April 18th, to discuss climate action plans.
  
  

• 2021-2022 
  Facilitated meetings between groups to move Albemarle County toward creating a comprehensive resilience plan.
  
  

• 2020
  Participated in lobbying in the General Assembly of Virginia during the 2020 legislative session for environmental and climate change related legislation.
  
  

• Fall 2019 
  Provided support for the Youth Climate Strike on the Charlottesville mall.
  
  

• Staring in 2019
  Served as support and contact for the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle county on issues of climate change action.
